Well hello there! It’s been a minute since I’ve been here! Sorry to keep y’all hanging for a while, I’ve just been behind the scenes hashing out some new ideas for the blog. Sometimes its best to step away for a while and gain some perspective and inspiration. A lot has happened since I’ve last written; I’ve landed a new job (still in the marketing field) and have officially begun wedding planning! We’ve set a date for our wedding and its quickly approaching (9/24/2016)! I will be filling you in on the details as it moves along.
In addition to all of those exciting things, I am happy to announce my partnership with a new photographer, Ciearra Charisse Photography. She is going to be working with me and photographing all of my outfit shots you will see here on I Dream in Chic. I am so excited to be working with her not only because she has an incredible eye for this, but also because she is a friend of mine from high school and its been so much fun shooting together. I will put a link at the bottom of the post so you can check her out and say hello!
So to kick things off I thought I’d start with an outfit post. I chose to go with something really casual. Let’s face it, its hard being dressed up all the time in the winter. While I love those polished, put-together looks, I definitely appreciate a good ole’ plaid shirt and a beanie. Sometimes I find the most comfort in outfits that I just put together on a whim and this was definitely one of those outfits. I think warmth is key in the winter and when you live in Ohio is almost necessary! Oh and how about this hat? Yeah, I saw it and had to buy it! #Selfie
