(This is a two-part post!)
How ironic is it that I am sitting here in the middle of a snow storm writing a blog post that SHOULD’VE been published before Christmas! (insert face-palm emoji) Clearly you can see the beautiful fall scenery behind me and I’m sure most of you wish that it still looked like this (if you live in the Midwest at least!) I for one, am loving this snow storm, but let’s not get off topic here. I thought the title of this post is appropriate since I’ve clearly procrastinated slightly with getting this published. I’ve struggled with procrastination for most of my adult life and I’m not going to lie, with the emergence of social media and all of this technology, it’s only hindered my ability to focus even more. I find myself blocking out days at a time to get things done, and for whatever reason, I decide that binge watching a whole season of Riverdale on Netflix sounds like a good idea. But I digress, this is a problem that I’ve decided to take a hold of for 2018. I’m done putting the things that matter the most to me (my blog being one) on the back burner in place of things that can be done another time. I think so many of us do this in one way or another, we have these things we love to do but life (or in my case, my inability to focus and stay on track) get in the way. I didn’t make any resolutions at the beginning of the year, like I said, I am just making it my #1 priority to pump out content to my blog and let my creativity flourish this year. So I got to know, what are some of the things you feel like you put on the back burner that you’d love to spend more time on?
Moving on! (I told you this was a two-parter, lol) I wanted to share one of my favorite fall looks with y’all since, I for one like to have fun with my fall fashion. I purchased this dress from Boohoo a while back (which, can I just say, has become one of my favorite online retailers as of lately). I was looking for a simple transitional dress that could go from fall into spring with the simple change of a jacket. Since it was fall when I was sporting this look, I paired it with a leather moto jacket and a simple black hat to finish the look. I kind of fell out of love with maxi dresses for some time but after ordering this one I figured I could give ’em another go-around! So tell me, do you still love the maxi dress trend or are you so over it!?
