I still remember like it was yesterday when I was in the delivery room with my sister when she gave birth to my youngest nephew. I remember feeling so many emotions as I watched him take his first breathe and cry that first really loud cry as he came into the world. From that day forward I knew for a fact that I wanted to experience that very same joy for myself one day too! Over the years I have seen just what motherhood is all about through my sister. I have seen her make sacrifices for her boys and do everything in her power to give them the very best childhood they could have. I have watched her put herself through nursing school, put a roof over her and her boys’ heads, and stand tall through so many adversities that so many others might not have been able to endure. So on this Mother’s Day today I want to pay homage to the strongest, most resilient mother I know, my sister Megan! I hope I can be half the mom you are someday!
