There is something so moving about seeing thousands of lined flags blowing in the wind. The Field of Heroes is a tribute that is set up every year to memorialize the fallen soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. This weekend I was able to visit the Field of Heroes and it was definitely a moving experience. Each flag had a special tribute attached to it recognizing a hero in the armed forces. There were also 708 crosses placed throughout representing the lives lost from The Desert War until the present. Each cross represents ten American soldier’s lives that have fallen. I am so glad that I was able to go and see this for myself, this is definitely a Memorial Day weekend I won’t forget. If you haven’t had the chance to go visit this I highly recommend going!
