So I’ll admit this, though slightly ashamed, I recently tried macaroons for the first time ever! I cannot believe I waited this long to indulge in these scrumptious Italian cookies. First off, let me just tell you that my friend Marcy insisted that we try this “cute little bakery in German Village”. She couldn’t believe I’ve never tried them and insisted I give them a try (she really had to twist my arm) and I am certainly glad I did. First off, the shop itself was absolutely adorable and the name was even more perfect, Pistacia Vera. See I told you, adorable! It is certainly the cutest place to sit on a warm, sunny afternoon in the middle of the summer, very Parisian if I must say. You walk inside and the smell alone is enough to make you want to buy the entire bakery but enough with my greedy thoughts! I am a person who loves choices and you definitely get that and more. Between croissants, cookies, muffins, and of course, macaroons I couldn’t decide what I wanted but since the macaroons came with a high recommendation I went with those. I chose the raspberry and pistachio as those are two of my favorite foods. Let’s just say, two was a teaser and I am definitely going to go back for two five more!
