I always love holiday weekends but it seems so much more difficult to get back into the swing of things after that extra day off. Maybe for me it was the birthday celebrations (and cake), cookouts, sleeping-in, a baseball game, and multiple restaurant dining trips that had me yearning for one more day off of work, who knows! Well here we are and another week is coming to a close. I am eagerly anticipating the relaxing weekend that is on the horizon. Its always nice to have a weekend where you spend time with friends and family and do fun, exciting stuff together but I also very much enjoy the peace and serenity that comes from a quiet morning brunch with a good book, a trip to the local farmers market, and whipping up a delicious meal for some patio dining at home. It is all about finding that balance. I tend to devote a couple weekends a month to catching up with friends and family, not worrying about the errands I have to run or housework that I have to do and then I plan a couple weekends for me to just relax and catch up on things at home or with my blog. There is nothing wrong with that, especially if you are a busy on-the-go person like myself. It is good for soul and also for your feet! Haha! This weekend I plan on cooking up some delicious recipes (that I’ll share with you, of course!), binge watching my favorite television shows on Netflix, and finishing at least one of the books that I rented from the library over a month ago! If you don’t have any specific plans for this weekend, I highly recommend doing the same; you will feel so refreshed come Monday morning! Here is to a fabulously, relaxing weekend! Cheers!
