As I mentioned in my previous post here, it’s been a quiet couples months around here. I’ve had some photos stored up in my archives that were originally planned for late summer/early fall but as you know, life has a funny way of changing things around. Needless to say, I thought I’d share these with you before the scenery looked COMPLETELY different outside! (hello Ohio winters).
So on to the fun stuff! I’ve been really into this whole athleisure trend lately. For me, it is the perfect balance between being super dressy and rocking my weekend cleaning ensemble (because, let’s be real I don’t dare go further than my mailbox in those clothes). It’s a chance to be comfortable and stylish and it still forces me to put together something cohesive. There are many ways you can wear this trend for yourself (I am still experimenting with different looks so stay tuned for more to come), but one of my favorite, and most simple ways to wear an athleisure ensemble, is to pair it with my Nike sneaks. I love these shoes because, one, they are ridiculously comfortable, and two, the are black and white (my favorite, duh!).
When putting together pieces in my closet, I tend to go towards neutrals, black to be more specific. I’ve been trying to get away from that habit of all choosing basics so I opted for something in the middle, a black floral bomber jacket. I paired it with one of my favorite watches and a black and white color-blocked handbag. The outfit was effortless and that’s ultimately the look I wanted to achieve. I can’t wait to incorporate this floral bomber into other outfits throughout the fall and winter. Are you ladies on board with the athleisure trend? Sound off in the comment section below.
