{One of my faves! A Calico cat eating pizza and cupcakes! What’s not to love!?}
I usually jump at the opportunity to go to any kind of art show or exhibit. I love being inspired and I love seeing how artists become inspired to create these gorgeous pieces of art. When I heard that the annual Chalk the Block event was coming back to Easton Town Center I was so excited. You see, I knew about this event last year and had the intentions on going but forgot to pencil it on my calendar and I missed it! Totally bummed! Chalk the Block is a two-day annual event that Easton Town Center puts on featuring over 30 different artists. These artists each a have unique and different style to their work and that is what makes this event so interesting. Each artist had a 10′ x 10′ space in which they could use as their canvas to create a masterpiece. In addition to the visual art that captivated the day, there were several different bands that performed. It was the perfect eclectic vibe if you ask me! Since I visited the event on Day #1 when the artists were still completing their work, I did not get to see who was awarded (sorry) but you can hop on over to Instagram @Chalk.the.block where they announced the winners and can see the artwork on display! Next year I definitely will make it back to see the finished product. Judging from the artwork I saw while strolling around on Saturday, I can only imagine how amazing the finished product was! If you have not yet been out to see this annual Chalk the Block event at Easton, I highly recommend it! It will inspire even the most unartistic of individuals!
