One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday afternoon is to go shopping, as I mentioned here before! So you can imagine my excitement when I came across this adorable thrift shop, Thrifty Chic, that is right down the street from my house. As much as I love to frequent the fancy malls in the area (hello, Easton Town Center & Polaris Fashion Place!), it is nice to visit a local shop and find some one-of-a-kind pieces without fighting the weekend crowds. When I walked into Thrifty Chic I noticed that it had more of a boutique feel, which I just so happen to love. At the front of the store were beautiful vintage and designer handbags (major restraint for me right there!), jewelry, watches, belts, scarves and sunglasses. I was in accessory heaven! They had two floors so it took me a little time to make it through the whole shop. After an hour and a half and $14 later, I walked away with three great pieces that I cannot wait to include in my wardrobe. The great thing about thrifting is that you never know what gems you are going to find so it is best to make sure you stop in more frequently. I can’t wait to check back for an updated selection of pieces for the fall season.
