Remember back to when I was raving about this blanket scarf? Well I got another one! What can I say, I love them, especially in the winter. But that is not what this post is about. Today I am talking about this dreary Ohio weather and how I am ready for the spring, and this NASA tee I scored on the Target clearance rack. But first, let’s talk about how much I am over this dreary winter weather. So, I’ve never been diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder (or S.A.D) but I have noticed in the winter months (especially post-holidays) I struggle to get motivated, I am sluggish, and I just feel blahhhhhhhhhhhhh. It’s like I’m on this holiday-high, going shopping, decorating, entertaining and then BOOM with the tick of the clock, the new year ushers in and I’m stuck thinking about the fun adult things like the impending tax season, budgeting (because I over did it during the holidays, again) and the fact that my grass has turned an ugly brown color and the melting snow has made way for a muddy mess in my backyard.
I know these are really small things to worry about in the scheme of things and I’m definitely not here to complain by any means, but I think it’s worth having the conversation about feeling down in the dumps this time of year. So many people struggle with Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D) and it really disrupts their day-to-day lives. I believe that by talking about it, I can help make someone else feel a little better knowing they aren’t the only one feeling this way. So with that being said, there are only 25 days left until the official start of Spring and I think we can all agree, this is definitely something to look forward to!
Now onto something a little more light-hearted, my love for graphic tees (like this one here and here.) A few months back I was shopping at Target (there’s a shocker) and I found myself perusing the clearance rack (because you DON’T go to Target without hitting up the clearance) and I came across this gem. If you would’ve known me in my younger years, you would say that I was not one for science but let’s be real, the older I get the cooler it has become. I mean, Tesla just sent a car into outer space, how cool is that? Pointless? Yes, but cool nonetheless! Okay, back to the shirt…I was geeked (no pun intended) when I found it because I’ve been looking for a soft, stretchy tee that can be layered with just about anything. I may even explore the idea of tucking it into a pair of trousers, and layering with a blazer, but for now it pairs well with my distressed denim and Nike sneakers.
