2) insist on being passenger princess so you can take a bev on the road while your husband drives

3) find a hidden gem restaurant that is small enough to feel intimate and you know the food is probably top-notch. @kungfunoodlenorthamerica was definitely it!

4) try as many items on the menu and sample it all

5) after dinner hit up local thrift stores to search for some fun hidden gems

6) next hit up a local ice cream shop for an after-dinner treat, I was craving @dairyqueen

7) end the night back home snuggled on the couch with @netflix queued up, ready to go!

INSTAGRAM vs. REALITY

I felt like I needed to do one of these, maybe not just for my own sake but for other moms out there to serve as a gentle reminder that everything is not always aesthetic and perfect.

Before I had Gisele, having a tidy, perfectly decorated home was were I found so much joy and peace. It helped me think more clearly, I felt calm when my home was in order. Fast forward to today and I struggle some days to keep it all together. The mental load is heavy AF and sometimes the toys and snacks everywhere just feels…chaotic.

This isn’t a post complaining about motherhood but more so about being transparent about what I go through and a lot of mothers as well.

You may see something I post that looks pretty and perfect but I promise you, five seconds later, my toddler wrecked it 😂😂

I felt like I needed to do one of these, maybe not just for my own sake but for other moms out there to serve as a gentle reminder that everything is not always aesthetic and perfect.
