I have always loved the Autumn season for so many reasons, let’s see, there is of course the Pumpkin Spiced Latte (I know, basic white girl thing to say!), cozy knitted sweaters (Absolute fave), and the warm hues of the changing trees that make sunset my favorite time of day. There is another reason I do love this season besides the plethora of ‘pumpkin-flavored’ everything… I get to decorate my home in my favorite fall decor. The walls in our house are painted in warmer tones so the decor during this season goes perfect and it makes for an extremely cozy ambiance (maybe that’s why Drew always falls asleep on me while watching our shows?!). Every season, I seem to want to add to my decor and I am always browsing Pinterest for some new inspiration. Recently while Pinterest-ing (yes, that’s a thing!) I came across a swatch of colors in a palette that made my eyes very happy; Turquoise, Auburn, Orange and Burnt-Yellow. I loved the contrast of these colors together. I decided the best to incorporate that into my decor was to paint a vase. I already had some faux fall foliage that I wanted to use somewhere and this was where I decided it would be! I have to say, I love the outcome, the colors go so perfectly together and it gave the dining room area the perfect pop of color amongst the warm hues that fill the room.
